very nice video but why the american voice over for an Ipswich event - seemed a bit odd.!

A bit of video on movement in harness, i.e. full plate armour. People are still being told it was ludicrously cumbersome (can't get up in it, have to be lifted onto a horse with a block and tackle, etc).

The person in the armour (Daniel Jaquet, a historian specialising in late medieval armour and armoured combat) is currently making a film about a run on an obstacle course in plate armour, modern firefighting kit and modern infantry soldier's kit - which is least encumbering on the course? He has a kickstarter to raise a few grand for expenses.

Another one of his, this time showing some fighting techniques (from surviving late medieval accounts). Very little restriction of movement. Almost total restriction of vision though, because one of the few ways of using a bladed weapon to kill a person in plate armour is to stab them through the eyeholes.
