I'm having a moan today. Why do some women feel the need to make this petty comment when the male counterpart has done instead of the other half doing it? I especially notice it when there are friends round and the female friend says it at some point during the evening. It makes me feel like carrying on 'well as it goes this little dinner party probably wouldn't have happened if I wasn't doing it because you're so **** at cooking and we'd have all been eating **** if you'd cooked. Actually you're **** at most things as it goes so I do it because I don't so such a **** job of it' but it would be impolite to go on like that.

Some women love making little cutting digs like that. Must be their way of covering their inadequacies.

It's ok for women to put men down, you see it all the time. But it's sexist the other way round.

Equal opportunities, you can't beat it.

Or you could just punch her in the ovaries :D

Social evolution my friend. Women attain status through their male mate's standing and their own non-physical subtle verbal 'digs'.

Of course, whether they should be doing it or not is another matter altogether. To me, it seems as though a lot of women just can't help it as it's how they've learnt to socialise with one another.

Next time someone says it, just say it's not because you're well trained, it's because your woman is a lazy whore. That'll spice things up a bit.

There was a thread on here about cooking with a certain substance a while back that you could serve as petty revenge. ;)

PK!

Seen it happen a few times, I just ignore it and do things which I know annoy the other half, like leaving toilet seat up, underwear on the back of the computer chair etc.

You get the drift.

All women :)

I must admit, I don't have this issue. Both me and the missus can cook (although she can seem to do the desserts that I'm not quite so good at) and so it's not out of the ordinary for us to share work.

Anyway, if someone else said this, I'd just reply with "I've got her trained in the bedroom, she's got a leash and everything". That would tend to shut them up.

I don't the whole equal opportunities thing.

I mean why try to be equal when women could be some much more???

It's just a lack of ambition if you ask me.

;)
