Yummy chinese food

Chicken feet, heart, gizzard, duck tongue, pig intestine, sea snails from the shell, 12 day old pigeon (bones are still soft), dog, snake, zebra, horse, everything you can get from the sea, kangaroo, various insects, too name a few meaty things I have eaten in Taiwan. Loads of different veggie stuff, its all edible its just down to what you've grown up with that makes your brain think something is gross.

You just brought back some horrible memories there :p though, duck testicles were surprisingly nice. My fiancée's family has a habit of forcing things on me and seeing how I react, really not a snail fan though. Had to draw the line at some roadside chicken over new year that was brought to the table not just pink, but still actually dripping blood from the middle.

OP, just follow the advice above, eat where locals do and make sure it's fresh. It might be weird in your head, but it's all food.

Well, I probably have and just never knew it. Just so like those Horsey burgers. I enjoyed them all and I'll likely eat them all again.

My favourite food that I never ate, was Unicorn. It was delicious.

I've probably eaten my fair share of dodgy things in SZ/GZ on one of my visits - without knowing what it is.

My customer did offer me mouse last time which I didn't end up trying , even though he assured me they were very tasty, as they are apparently caught in rice warehouses where they can eat until they're nice and meaty :p

Stuff like chicken gizzards / heart / feet / pig intestines / pig liver / frog I don't really have a problem with and eat fairly often here in Malaysia (mostly pig intestine)

Wok tossed noodles with a portion of roast duck or char siu pork on the side of a street in Causeway Bay!!!!! That is all... Chinese food is best food :p

I had an awesome baby pigeon meal in Hong Kong with work guys once. It did come with the head and all, was tasty xD

I had pigeon meat with rice. How the chinese can make just about anything taste awesome is a mistery to me

A lot to do with the sauces used. They are generally pretty sugary from my experience and have very rich and sharp taste. Maybe that's the reason, to distract from what you are eating :o

Personally I have a list of animals I want to try

Don't have a problem with weird and wonderful animals as long as they are not poisonous and taste nice :)

What type of pigeon, pigeon meat is really tasty.

And just because we don't eat so many types of meat, does not mean it should taste bad.

street food as it's more commonly known as, has been some of the best food I've eaten when travelling last year.

The only problem is, you're not always entirely sure what you're getting. And as for sanitisation? Forget it :p :D

looks great too! ever watched anthony bourdain : no reservations?

if not get stuck in!

I'm in Hong Kong at the moment.....only stuck to eating Mac D's so far.

HK is probably a lot better to be fair, but I had a Mac D in Luohu and it was worse than the crunchy frog. The patty was a thin, pale grey disc of...stuff, and after one bite, I spat it out and chucked the rest in the bin.

I'm reasonably adventurous with food, but rat is really a step too far IMO.
