hey

has is it possible to take the front grill off the sub??

i had the screws out but it wont budge, dont want to put to much force into it incase i damage it

any1 managed to get it off??

i want to spray something on the metal grill that covers it and dont want to do it while it on sub, also want to see what it like without the cover
 
with the z-680 the grill is only glued on and should be the same for the z5500.

Use a tourch to find out where the grill is glued on then take those big paper clips and hooked it through the grill for each part off the places where it is glued and pull gently. Dont rush it, Im sure it will come off with lightly tugging at the glued parts. Hope this helps mate?

I havent taken my cover off, I came across someone who had in a different forum

Apparntly some people thinks it looks better without the grill,, but ive seen pictures of the z-680 and z-5500 without the grills, and I think it looks ugly.

Anyay I need the grill on mine so I dont kick it cos its under my desk right by my feet. It also makes a great foot stool. :D

ITS GLUED ON, just do what I said and it will come off
