Hey all, Just wondering if I could compare my experience with these speakers with yours.


Personally I have found them to be a real let down. Nice-ish bass but the speakers are so damn shrill. Is there anyway for a nicer mix without seriously sharp sounds which limits how high I can turn my music up (to unpleasant).

Have it coupled with X-Fi extreme music
 
I have the Z5500 and a X-Fi Titanium and they sound very nice to me, though I am not an audiophile really. I leave them on input: direct, effect: 6 Ch Direct for pretty much everything. I switch to the optical if I want to watch a Blu-ray or HD-DVD with DTS or DD.

For music you could try using the stero x2 effect maybe. Also in the Creative Console there are quite a few preset mixers for different music you could play around with.
