Is it more of zit zit zit, like something is trying to spin? Could be HDD

or is it a powwww, peww peww, ping, pa poow peew peww noise? Could be aliens.

Cant remember what its called - sometimes gfx cards creates a buzz like sound that can be hard to pinpoint - mostly happens in static game screens when fps goes through the roof. Try enabling vsync or adaptive vsync and see if it goes away.

Sounds like your computer is trying to sleep. Put some sleeping tablets into the dvd drive and then force it shut, should hopefully help it get some rest.
