Hi guys, pretty sure it is compatible but just want to check before I buy that the samsung 970 evo pro nvme ssd will definitely work with my z170x gaming 7? Also looking at the crucial P5 2TB as its well priced at the moment.
Ive currently got 2 ssds installed and an hdd, will this be a problem?
Im not too clued up on terminology etc but ive seen people saying certain satas will be disabled etc.
Not really sure how it all works.
Ive currently got a 750 sata and an 860 which has windows 10 on, ive also got an old hdd which is mainly used for storage.
I wanted to take some stuff off my 750 (d) drive and install it on the new nvme but is it possible to have 4 different drives installed with another nvme ssd?

No sense to pay Samsung extra.
You can get 5GB/s capable PCIe v4 drive for same price for extra future capability.
TeamGroup T-Force Cardea Zero Z440 2TB NVMe PCIe Gen4 M.2 Solid State Drive= £239.99

In PCIe v3 drives Crucial P5 is the go to drive at the moment, though at not much lower price than that TeamGroup PCIe v4 drive.

Again bang for the buck drive would be WD Blue SN550.
WD Blue SN550 2TB SSD NVME M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 Solid State Drive (WDS200T2B0C)= £176.99

Unless full manual itself has something about use of M.2 slot disabling anything, they can all work together
