Hi All, I'm having issues with my new build
9900k, Z390 Aorus Master (Upto date BIOS F5, then F6), 32gb 3600mhz 8-Pack T-Force Ram (Using XMP), Zotac 1080 extreme , 960evo SSD, H115i Platinum 280mm . Was using 970 evo but cut it out due to troubleshooting. EVGA Gold Plus 850w psu.
I've had 2 issues 1 I think I've fixed.
1- While playing games the game would close without warning and crash to desktop, no error message nothing. I reinstalled Windows 10 and this seems to have been resolved.
2- After a while my PC will begin to freeze for a few seconds at a time, this gradually gets worse until I restart the machine then its fine again.
Steps taken:
1- Reinstalled Windows
2- Removed new 970 evo and used previous boot drive 960 evo.
3-Updated Bios to latest version
4- Installed all drivers from Gigabyte website
5- Only installed bare minimum other software
6- Left other storage disconnected
The machine itself any other time runs like silk, completely smooth. I've left the OC for now it boosts to 4.7ghz out the box and it sits at that all day no issues. Temps are great on the 9900k I've not seen above 72 and my 1080 highest 80. Both temps recorded during AIDA64 stress test Cinebench also fine as well as 3d mark. Even the temps on the SSD top out at 48 during stress test and that has a beefy heat sink on top of it.
To be honest I'm stumped I'd don't know whats causing by stuttering issue and I don't know what caused my crashing out of games issue. I'm assuming it could be a driver issue, I cant see it being a cooling issue due to good temps.
If any one has any ideas please share I would appreciate the help.
