Is it possible to run an SSD for OS and also use another SSD to cach a 1TB hard drive at the same time on an Asrock Z68 Extrem4 Gen3 ?

Would this be of any real benefit?

Asking as I have a spare 64GB Crucial C300 sitting idle.

Yeah its possible, you have to have a spare hdd to fool Intel drivers,I don't know the exact procedure but Google will be your friend till someone can add further

I've done it before, works quite well. Just set your disk settings in Bios to RAID instead of AHCI and install to the SSD. Install the Intel RST driver when up and running and configure the caching.

This was done on a AsRock Z68 Pro3, so should be very similar to your Extrem4 Gen3
