Ive been advised a z68 mobo would be my best option I was going to put an ATI gpu in for eventual dual display option but from research nvidia cuda for photoshop seems a better bet so will need the option for SLI too. I have read so many reviews that I think I've actually lost the last of my marbles. Advice will be gratefully received :) x

So what are you asking?
Z68AP-D3 only supports CrossFire and Z68XP-D3 supports both Xfire and SLI. XP is 15 quid more.

with the asus whats the diff between that version and the pro please? x

Looking here the main differences appear to be:

-The pro can do DTS audio using the onboard sound
-The pro has two more SATA3 ports (though they are controlled by a marvell controller -not the intel chipset)
- The pro has firewire ports

The rest seems to be the same.

hmm the SLI suggestion was so I could run 2 monitors.. maybe I should go back to original plan of HD 6850 or HD6870 I do want to play games too and I don't want to pay Quadro prices lol

Yeah I gathered that... Steer clear of ATI/AMD then.

You can run 2 monitors off a single card... Hell some even let you run three.

Alternatively you can utilise 2 off your graphics card and 2 off the intel HD graphics to get a grand total of 4.

I run 3

Ok what an idiot I mis-read I was thinking on another post somewhere here I was told nvidia doesn't do dual display. I think I'm in above my head atm but I determined to not let it beat me.

In your other thread...

I rather like this spec

Nice case, love the soundcard - your ears will love you for it but swap the 6850 for a 560 or better.

Most important bits are min : 2600k, 560, 16gigs of ram, d2x for those long lonely nights whilst photoshoping

Good luck

EDIT : NZXT H2 in WHITE or you'll be struck off for being a designer ;)
