Hi everyone ive got a Gigabyte Z77-D3H motherboard and i was just putting a new graphics card into it and noticed that the CPU wasnt seated properly because one of the clips had come away from the board. After reseating i when i booted up the pc i got a a load of beeps. When i looked into it it said that it was a memory problem. So i swapped the memory around because i was running 2 sticks in dual mode and it would appear that slots 3 and 4 arent working properly.Has anyone got any ideas why this had happened and does it mean im going to need to get a new motherboard if i want to run more than 2 sticks of memory?

you mean the intel cooler pins wasn't clicked down properly?

could be too tight a cooler that causes memory problems, but theres no way to loosen it with intel pushpins, only coolers with a backplate

Thanks for the suggestions guys i tried loosening the cooler screws and im still getting the beeping.
I might try stripping my pc down at the weekend and cleaning it up and seeing if that achieves anything
