I noticed this port when putting the pc together..

I imagine this is a microsata similar to the way flash drives work - but is it worth using this over a normal SSD drive?

Just confused what its there for and what purpose it serves.

Any ideas? Im trying to find the manual.. but I put it somewhere safe so probably wont find it until next year.

Yes it's an Msata connection, I've seen it catch out people doing unboxings of mobos on youtube too.

Cheers for that link - quite informative.

Seems primarily aimed at laptops then as the 3gb/s limitation means it does not perform as well as the 2.5" SSD connected toa 6gb/s port.

Perhaps price of these msatas will drop quickly.
