Z77X UD5H Overclock

I have no experience with that particular board as yet. I am looking at the 4 on Monday and profiling Ivy.

I can put you something together from that and Sandy though. When I am confident it will work I will share. I will throw in some DRAM overclocking too as a bonus!!!

Here is my 1st overclocked @ 4.8GHz (4 Cores / 4 Threads) as temp not bads at 62C isn't it ?

Below is 4 cores and 8 threads - it seem get hotter with my thermalright silver arrow with dual 140mm fans with max speed hoover around 74C with 135Watts power from the cpu

What u think 8 pack, should I reduce vcore and change the settings in bios as I can await for your results next week when u will try out sandybridge with my board and see how far it go.

You dont say what settings in Bios you are using?? I would say VTT 1.05 and PLL 1.65. Your overclock needs have improved efficientcy too really Cas 11 ram at DDR1600 is not efficient at all.

What RAM do you have???

If temps are effecting Sandy a lot then they fall over when testing. If yours is not falling over I would not worry too much. Hit 80 though and it most probably will so be aware of this when tuning.

I try to get my head round it as the bios is alots of settings on it. I left VTT on Auto and PLL on Auto. I will try vtt and pll now. My memory ram is samsung green 2 x 4GB @ 1600MHz at 1.356v. Load Line Calibration set to Extreme.

Vcore Loadline Calibration and CPU VTT Loadlne Calibration had 8 settings are Auto, Normal, Standard, Low, Medium, High, Turbo and Extreme (I put Extreme on both)

PWM Phase Control had 7 settings are Auto, exm.Perf, High Perf, Perf, Balanced, Mid PWR and Lite PWR (I put exm.Perf)

Vcore Voltage Response had 3 seetings are Auto, Standard and Fast (I put Fast)

I doubt you need such High LLC on VTT for 1600mhz dimms. Those Dimms do 2133mhz very nicely 9-11-11-21 1T on alll the SB I have worked on (thats a lot on commercial overclocking I do).

I did not use this board though so really need to test them on that.

I had set mine 4.6GHz @ 1.320v with 2133mhz @ 9-11-11-21 1T @ 1.45v (the temp was not bad keeping at 70C because my room is very warm with central heating on) prime95 for 30 minutes full load

Thanks 8 pack for the correct timing on my memory ram which it pretty nice! :) I think I had to leave out 4.8GHz & 5.0GHz because it was far too hot. Need a proper custom water cooling!
