Just set up my first new machine in 5 years (schoolboy in sweetshop moment), and I have a question.
3 SATA drives are attached to the machine, an SSD (C300) and a pair of 2TB Seagate Barracudas. I've got the Barracudas in RAID0, but this means setting the whole SATA config to RAID rather than AHCI.
Given that I'm not building the SSD into a RAID array, will TRIM still work? Or is the mere fact that the controller overall is set to RAID enough to banish TRIM?
I'm on W8 x64.
Cheers!
