What's the deal with the PCI-e bandwidth ?

8x/8x max or 8x/4x/4x generic before help from a PLX

I believe that the pci-e capabilities of the Haswell chipsets is one of the things that Intel has kept NDA. That is why the board manufacturers have been very non specific about it. You might be able to read between the lines by the hardware pictures often having only 1 x16 slot fully wired and the other x16 slots generally having 8 channels wired.

The MSI dragon like strikes my fancy, but the Asrocks efforts are quite good nice and dark with nice golden caps..lovely..Lol at the fat1al, whatever it is board, it is a good looking board through.

the asus rog also grabs my attention as normal

Wow to what they are doing with intergrated sound, they all have something going on

Thanks for that Mjones, completely skipped Gigabyte. The sniper series would be great for my Cooler Master CM-690 II Nvidia Edition case.

will have to be a Rog board for me, but i shall wait untill the Z87 C2 steping to avoid the USB bug with C1 steping, dont want to spend out on a top board to have the new steping C2 come out 2 months later and devalue my purchase.
