Z87X-OC vs KHXB 2400C11 16GB

Thats why I got the stuff for tight timings at 2133 (for what I do I know its a benefit) - I've not bothered to push them below CL9 but from a quick experiment they did CL8 with extra VDIMM with possible potential for a lot of sub-timing tightening.

To bring an end to this thread and some clarity to anyone who may read it in the future:

I didn't get around to trying BIOS f9, I had tried bioses from f3-f8 and x02-x08c all with varying results none of which worked with 4 dimms at 2400mhz.

Moved over to an z97 xpower ac, posts fine, tunes fine, benches fine and passes memtest fine.

So I can only presume the z87x-oc either didn't like the ram or couldn't (for what ever reason) hold 4 sticks at 2400. That or the board is faulty.

Now I'll be going back to restest my other RAM that failed on that board (some tridentx) and see of they pass with the xpower too.

I may have the same issue

Z87X-OC

System keeps freezing, BSOD, etc.

I thought it was the CPU dying but with the memory at 1333 everything seems to run ok? CPU at 4.3GHz and no crashes.

Memory is 2400 TeamGroup Extreme Orange 11-13-13-35 I think

Would memory timings cause this problem?

it shouldn't need any tweaking imo

latest bios might help tho

idk on haswell what its labelled as but you could try touch more memory controller voltage
