Z97 PCH Temps...

Hey people, could you please post your Z97 (and other chipset) PCH temps please .

My Asrock Z97 Extreme4 PCH temp is around 32c when idle and reaches around 55c when gaming... That's a little bit warmer to what i'm used to seeing and i'm hoping it's still safe?

Motherboard temps under load anyone? Please? Just want to know if other Z77, Z87, Z97 users are getting motherboard chipset temps similar to mine .

Doing a quick google search it would appear 50c temps for PCH is normal

Mid 50's is fine. I remember back in the days of the 965P chipset if you touched the NB cooler it got so hot it would burn you.

My last board was a Asus Z97 and the PCH would hit about 57C. My Asus X99 is a bit cooler at about 50C.

So my temps of around 50-55c sound pretty normal then. My other PC (family PC) is based on the H67 chipset with an i7 3770k and R9 280X and the PCH/motherboard temp reaches around 40c when gaming with that one.

Brings back memories of one of my old boards that used a toasty NVidia nforce chipset... Thing used to overheat more than i'd like despite even having a little fan on the northbridge! I don't miss that one at all .
