zalman z9 plus - do i need more fans, i want more

Ok no worries I just wanted to confirm that

Im getting the sp120 fans as I got recommended these and they look good.
I know the sp fans have 4pins and are best used for radiators etc but
The AF fans do not have 4pins and I want to have full control over all my fans with xpert fan 2

A pc company said the SP fans will just work as good as case fans anyway. Does anybody else differ from this

I'd set them up somewhat the same as I posted near to the top, works well for me.

hi andy.im ordering 6 SP120 pperfomance edition PWM fans on friday
2 x top
2 x side
1 x bottom ( im going to try and drill some new holes, do you know what kind of drill id need)
1 x front

Now I just want to confirm if its SP fans are the best ones as iv been recommended them, but iv heard the AFs are good but they are not PWM fans.
Anyway I think il just get SP fans. Do you know if u can fit 2x fans in the front

This is my current set-up which I find works well, although I have ditched the fan on the side panel as it was very noisy there.

I have also cut the mesh off the fans as it improves airflow and makes them quieter.

And a 140mm Apache Black fan in the front, which shifts a lot of air. That's the only extra fan I have and it's plenty :)

hi andy, do you think I should I should install a corsair AF140 fan in the fornt of my case instead of a SP120

what do people think at the moment

Looks good. How do you find the side fans? I found mine to be very noisy through the grills, although might be better now I have a fan controller.

The wires at the back are a squeeze, I spent some time organising and cable tying them up, doesn't look pretty but the panel goes on and it looks of from the front :)

Just a quick pic of how mine is at the moment. Excuse the dust, I removed the fan filters for maximum airflow as the CPU and GPU are running flat out 24/7 F@H.

my wife had the Z9 and it is a bit of a task getting all the cables sorted ....but the case itself is not a bad case actually

although she didnt have a gaming set up

Can you give me any pictures of ur cables at tje back. It might give me an idea of how I can do mine il post a pic of my cables at their current state tomorrow

Well nobpdy goes in the back of the case dp they all I have their is my SDD hah

hi all, again lol

i just need some advice, my case the zalman z9 plus comes with that temperatures thing on the front.

but i want to know where have people put their sensors for ideal temp reading. at the moment mine is just underneath the motherbaord guarding, under the graphics card where the PCI slot is lol

i have all 6 fans plugged in any working now, i dont find the noise an issue they sound fine, when i first switch my pc on obviously u can here them all rmap up but thats because my pc is probs fast at getting onto the desktop,
my cpu is overclocked to 4.2

can anybody tell me how i can tell if my pc is running at decent temperatures.

once i installed all 6 fans i used xpert fan 2 software to automatically sort them out

iv im looking right in thermal radar im getting average temps of :

29 - 37 CPU Ideal is that pretty much right

obviously I have my Samsung evo 840 SSD on the back, do you think it will be ok, I mean it wont get too hot will it

I presume that the CPU and GPU are running flat our 24/7 as you are mining?
What kind of temps are you getting with your aftermarket cooler on your GPU?

The Arctic coolers are amazing!!
