Zalman ZM-WB5 CPU block

hi guys, just purchased one of the above cpu blocks brand new in package.

just wondering if anyone has used one on socket am3+ ? and are they any good ?

also, can i remove the barbs from the block and put my own in ?
im not fussed about the warranty.
