Pretty much the title really. If I was to play the cube version of the game, how much would I be missing ? like any dungeons or bosses? I know the control scheme is different, and you are missing a fairy... does that make any impact at all?

I really dont want to buy a Wii just for this game, but I must admit I do want Zelda quite a bit...

I'm sure I watched a video that said the games are mirrored, but I don't know if that meant literally, i.e. go right on the Wii, go left on the Gamecube?

IIRC there will be 1 or 2 dungeons available only in the wii version, either from the start or at a later date.

However, I certainly don't think Zelda alone is enough to justify getting a wii, not when there is a GC version anyway.

I will be getting the GC version, I have no interest in the wii so far and don't expect that to change in the future.

Yeah it is, the game is flipped horizontally on the GC version... It's to do with the Wii's controller's i think the way you get your point of view of the bow

oh yeah, the wii is mirrored to the gamecube entirely because link's supposed to be a leftie, and always has bee, but wii is designed predominantly for righties, so they swapped the whole thing over, all maps will be the other way round etc.

yeah it is directly mirrored a said above as has the 480P been. I think the fishing mini game has been added to the Wii version though not sure.

i have not heard about the extra dungeons mind, is that something to be added over Wii Connect24?

I'm not sure there are any extra dungeons, I just seemed to recall hearing about that possibility. I could well be completely wrong.

I think the extra dungeons will be downloadable (at a price?) from the Wii Shop thingy.

That and the widescreen, 480p and mirrored game are the only differences.

Got any (reliable) sources that say it will be completely mirrored on the Wii? seems a bit odd to me.

Cheers :)

It made sense to flip the game as it was easier than reprogramming Link to hold the sword in his right hand. I thnk it's purely because you hold the Wiimote in your right hand - although it doesn't have to be held like that. In terms of lefties, it should still be natural to hold it the same as righties as the analogue stick is essentially in the same place as on other consoles.

Only other differences, as said, is 480p and/or widescreen modes, the disc size, control method and the audio from the Wiimote.
