Zelda: Twilight Princess

I'll tell you when it finishes updating. Been doing that for the last 90+ mins since I splugged it all in :(.

I guess it's because all of Europe is doing the same, but I'd suggest that anyone else wanting to play it straight away leave it unconnected to the net for a day or two.

It's driving me crazy already! I had problems fishing at first, because the game and manual aren't really clear about how to catch a hooked fish. I've just left the village now, and there's a really annoying little girl-cat type thing laughing at me because I can't find a hole :(.

It's really good though!

EDIT: controls are fine, apart from the spin attack (which I would normally use most). You shake the nunchuck to do it, and I've found it a bit uncomfortable. The fishing control is maybe a little too sensitive at pulling the line out of the water.

It's the noise when the sword attack is ready again that bugs me, it's too loud!

Mine updated in 2 mins... Anyway I am absolutely loving this game. The controls, story (so far) etc are amazing. I'm 2.5 hours in and taking my time (only just left the starting town).

Hard to describe just how good this game has turned out to be. It's my first 3D Zelda so I was a little scepticle but this is shaping up to be the best thing since Final Fantasy VII :o

Hmm, must be something else causing it then. Our net speeds are fine but it's taking forever. Is it only the two updates though? Second one is nearly done.

never played Zelda before? it's the recharge sound to show you can do another spin attack. It's been there since the orignal.

As for it being too loud .,turn the remote speaker down :P

I managed to get it in town today, called up a shop to see if they had it in stock... They said they did but they didn't have loads of copied... so I went and picked up one of the 4 copies there, another Wiimote and a 64Mb GC Memory Card, came to nearly £90, but I didn't really care too much about cost since I wanted both, and didn't want to go round hunting before they sold out.

Anyway onto Zelda, I'm liking the new controls, though I do find myself shaking the wiimote gently to try to get the spin attack.

The digging a hole bit too me about 5 minutes to work out. I'm currently refusing to look up how to get past the puzzles on sites.

I kinda spoiled the first ~1 hour of the game, since i watched Gamespot play it so I knew how to do the first town to the game.

Yeah I'm stuck at that bit as well - just spent 20 minutes trying to find one with no luck.

try breaking stuff....

That was the thing for me, it was pretty obvious to break it, I just kept trying to dash into it, forgot about the attack ability :)

I'm really enjoying Zelda, it's taken me about 2 hours to get into the forest and back out again (closer to 4 if I count the bits I had to redo because i forgot to save :o ), but the controls seem to work, especially aiming the slingshot:)

That's exactly what I did. I didn't realise that the dog could attack without a weapon, but I did realise there should be somewhere I could dig, so I got majorly confused!
