Been on CityFibre a few years now on 900meg symmetrical with Giganet now called cuckoo. Paying £45 a month and they don't offer any faster speeds however the latency is very good. Zen offer 2.3gb symetrical so was thinking of jumping to them, but wanted to see if anyone here is with them and what the latency for gaming is like, they told me that they don't use G at which is supposed to be better for gaming.

I've been with Zen for around a year now and am thinking about upgrading to the 2.3gb package.
I'm currently on the 900 package and the last speedtest I did is linked below.
I've never had any issues gaming wise, the only query I had was around dropped packets that the thinkbroadband monitor kept reporting.
Looking on the forums it seems that this was a characterisitic of the Fritzbox router they used to use.
They dont seem to use that router anymore and offer eero 6 pro or 7 if you pay extra for it.

Zen is basically interchangeable with IDNet when comparing CF at this point, they essentially run on the same network. While a lot can be said about Zen of today vs Zen of several decades ago, they're still a decent ISP who caters to the customer who perhaps appreciates service and doesn't mind paying slightly more for UK based staff and support along with generally better hardware vs staff being outsourced to the cheapest provider by a larger player who prefers to cut costs to the bone and supply distinctly average hardware.
