Zen, Nildram or Eclipse?

I realise you arn't anti Zen, the points you make are good but unless you know the usage figures for all the Zen customers then how do you know how many can be fit on a central. Over the last few weeks when assisting with usage figure enquiries it is quite obvious that there are a large number of very light users. Often using less than 500mb a month.

Also the centrals get cheaper the bigger they are. With larger centrals going in the cost per mb is reduced.

But I do agree the Centrals are overpriced. LLU is growing rapidly and with that Ofcom will allow BTW to lower the price.

This isn't something Zen can control, it is going to be the same for all IPStream ISPs.

Ill be a bit more helpful than tolien and say online gaming uses very little bandwith.

Some figures i got in the past..

UT99 for 2 hours = 18mb
CS:S for 2 hours = 23mb

Online gaming uses very little bandwith, it only really requires decent latency for it to be playable.

Take 64k isdn for example which you could play most games fine on unless the playercount was huge (BF2).

Excellent, thanks. I presumed it wouldn't shift much data as I remember that on isdn CS was about 5k downstreams per sec and roughly the same upstream.
I might take a look at Nildram with their fair usage limit, rather than a hard limit.
