Not too sure if there are any arcade pinball fans for PC, but Zen Studios will be releasing Zen Pinball FX2 for Steam on 10th May

PC gamers rejoice! On May 10th, Pinball FX2™ will be available on Steam as a free platform download for all users! Pinball FX2 will release with a huge lineup of in-game DLC including tables from Star Wars Pinball and Marvel Pinball series, as well as Zen Studios originals:

Star Wars Pinball
Marvel Pinball
Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue
Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles
Pinball FX2 Core Collection
Zen Classics

If you don’t already have Steam, make sure to download the free platform and join the community!

Just means one less game I'll need to fire the PS3 up for to play, as I do enjoy Zen Pinball, and if it uses the shift keys for the flippers like Pinball Dreams on the Amiga - then happy days..

Well, I sure hope it runs better than the Windows 8 apps store version, that worked fine for a little while and I even purchased a few tables but for months now the game hangs if you try to turn the graphics settings to high and turn on reflections :(

When it works it's a cracking game though. Wonder if the tables I purchased on Windows 8 will transfer over to the steam version ?

Nothing will ever beat Pinball Fantasies. Especially spending 2 hours of my life trying to get it to work by editing the config.sys and autoexec.bat to get the minumum free memory

Taking the absolute mickey on the pricing $9.99 for EACH table good luck with that they are only just worth $9.99 for the LOT!!

Table pack. Same price as PS3 and 360, £7.99 each table pack. that'll be four tables per pack.

The star wars tables are 70p on Android and £7.99 per pack on console. Not sure how many tables you'd get in the zen classic pack, I'd say four ?

Not as expensive as you first thought..

More expensive according to this it would cost approx $50-60 to buy the lot that's OTT & ridiculous for a few pinball tables  I know they are licenced but come on noway is there as many hours gameplay as a full price game

They are being very cagey about cost the only official answer given is:

"At launch it will have these packs:

 Star Wars Pinball
 Marvel Pinball
 Marvel Pinball: Vengeance and Virtue™
 Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles™
 Pinball FX2 Core Pack
 Zen Classics "

MS Game Studios are publishing the game they have to take their cut I guess :(

How many tables do you need? It takes a while to learn the lanes. I bought the Star Wars pack and one other pack that I can't remember the name , the one with Spiderman, Blade, Wolverine and Cyclops (have no idea about comic books). Oh and the Mars table. I have been playing these for a few weeks and haven't even played on half of them yet. So yeah, it's a little pricey. But not that bad.

Yeah it takes a while to figure out how to unlock combos, inaccessible parts of the table etc.

Then you actually have to do it so there is quite a few hours on each table. That's without beating friends high scores etc.

Its not that bad I agree, the Marvel tables take ages to learn all the lanes, what each light and how to get multi ball and all the tricks etc.. Iron Man took me ages on PS3 to master..

I got the Star Wars pack on my Android Phone and it cost me 70p per table. Hardly a lot, and £7.99 for the Steam version is fine with me.

I've paid £34 for a AAA+ title and its lasted me no more then 8 hours, uncharted 3 cost me £38 I think on release... Zen pinball has a lot of hours in it if you intend to master the tables..

And you don't have to buy them all. you can if you like, I'd be happy with Marvel and Star Wars on my laptop..

Ive been wanting to play a good pinball game for awhile now ... would this be the game I should look at getting?

weird cant find it on steam atm ...

Cant wait used to love this on PS3. When I installed Windows 8 it was the first game I installed and only game I do miss since coming back to Windows 7.

:D

Its a good arcade pinball game, its very good and its not on Steam at the moment, its being released to Steam 10th May, where you can download the base game for free, but then buy tables as DLC.

To buy ALL tables would cost you a bit of money, but they do table packs, £7.99 each which will include up to four tables, so its not 'that' expensive and its a good way to waste a few hours working out the lanes, the tricks etc and getting good scores.

I'd look into it if you want a pinball game.

On the 360, I'm rather fond of The Empire Strikes Back table in the Star Wars pack, Blade in the Marvel pack, Tesla in the ZEN Classics, and Agents in the core pack. So I guess I'm going to have to buy 4 of the packs  In my opinion there is usually a stand out table in each pack which is worth the price alone.

Looks like ZEN have done a bit of a one up on The Pinball Arcade as its also due to be released on STEAM (after having to get Greenlit).

You have the same taste as me :)

Love the Blade table and it's day/night mechanic. I also really like the clone wars table, the only downside is Yoda constantly talking, I find his voice irritating.

A tip for those that intend buying table packs. Buy in game rather than via the STEAM store directly as I just found to my cost. You get 10% off if you buy in game. I downloaded the game and bought the packs at the same time and as a result was charged the full price.

All a bit underhanded if you ask me

*edit* Turns out it was the rollout of the discount that was slow, I happened to purchase before this had happened and ended up paying full price.
