Zen Pinball FX2

Got the lot as well and glad to see this works much better on steam than the one from the Windows 8 app store for some reason

Really enjoying this as well, brings back those memories from classic Amiga games like Pinball dreams & fantasies :) The Starwars tables in particular are great.

Looks like its no luck on a refund of the discount for those of us that were a bit quick off the mark in buying the tables. I've just had a reply from STEAM saying that they will not refund as the packs were purchased outside the discount period.

I have replied to them again, but I don't hold out much hope. It's only a tiny amount of money, but its more to do with the principle of them applying the discount a short period after launch which means many of the early adopter would have paid full price only to discover that if they had purchased a short time later they would have saved a few quid.

And just so it doesn't appear that i'm simply moaning, the game itself is great and every bit as good as on the consoles. I'm looking forward to what features / tables they come up with on the PC platform.

A few more players of the table than that :)

In other news STEAM have offered to fund my STEAM wallet with the cost of the table packs I've purchased, but this will remove the packs from my account. Given I don't know what effect this will have on my scores I've declined the offer. If I wanted a refund I'd want the money back on the card I used to buy it. I have asked why they can't fund my wallet with the 10% discount I should have received, but I don't think I'll get very far with that.

At least they have gone a step further than simply saying no.

Could people recommend tables as they work their way through them?

I know the Star Wars and Marvel tables are good, I'd also recommend the Mars table (quite easy, good music).

I'd give the Street Fighter2 table a miss though, I don't think they they made the most out of the license to be honest.

In hindsight, buying all tables in one go wasn't too clever as I tend to chop and change through tables whilst not learning/remembering any of the mechanics. I need to make a conscious effort to stick with one table for a while before moving on.

Most tables are decent but they're all quite 'busy' and most of the time I don't know what I'm doing:D The V12 table seems quite hard - can't get anywhere with that one.

The whinging about PinballFX2 on the STEAM forum is just incredible. By all accounts the game is rubbish because its not free

That is the nice thing about it. You can buy a single pack of 3 or 4 tables for a theme you are interested in for £6.29. So if you have never played pinball on a computer before it gives you a relatively cheap entry into it. As I've said before each pack tends to have a stand out table that is worth the price of entry alone.

Looks like there is a free table coming along due to all the whinging about "Free to Play" on STEAM.

Aye people always whinging when games like these come out, yet these are the people who spend silly amounts of money on hardware and refuse to buy games looool
