I am not completely sure but I think they are lower than they were a few months ago.

I know that Zen normally don't inform existing customers when they reduce prices so I thought I would post it.

I'm getting this on a connection check. Doesn't look like they are reduced for me.

Where did you see this?

Yes, they slightly lowered the pricing yesterday and replaced the 12 Month FTTC contract duration with 18months it seems.

Have signed up today as we were paying £42+ with BT anyway, and I'm fed up with Plusnet/BT putting the price up every year in line with the CPI +whatever % they feel like adding.

Also moving over to Digital voice as stop sell for our area starts in 2023 so might as well move now.

Zen have had big issues yesterday/today, lot of maintenance and a lot of outages. Ours went down 4am this morning and came back up mid afternoon

Hopefully not an indication of things to come.

Zen used to be rock solid, past 6 months I’ve had loads of dropouts, mostly early hours and repeatable times like it’s scheduled.

My traces keep changing too suggesting infra changes / updates.

You have switched to VM?

Be interested how you finding the experience as historically their network and service is terrible, this is not just home users, their business service is just as bad, getting new circuits ordered, moved or failed circuits fixed.

Yeh couldn't justify the price with Zen albeit Zen wasn't ever down a single day in 5 years. no longer if I'm honest and I wouldn't have got a faster service with Zen for a long time as nothing is planned for the area. I would be stuck on 80/20. I moved to VM M250/25, did a speed test and it was more like 260/30. Will see how it goes within the next few months. It's a new planned area so every cable is brand spanking new. Our area got the new fibre boxes installed so it's FTTP.

I can't justify the 1G service though but the M250 is 17.99 per month with a 12.00 o2 SIM added on. Bargain.

I have noticed over the past year that Zen seem to be struggling a bit. They seem to be trying to introduce new services that are nothing more than money earners. Renting extra routers, boosters and things like that. To my mind what they really need to do is modernise their customer portal, start a forum, provide better service alerts and other things to generally improve what they offer, THEN they can start thinking about earning more money. I am tied in to them for the next year but I may start looking for alternatives if they don't get their act together.

Their customer portal has been modernised. At least when I logged in a day ago it’s changed fully from their old portal now. All I get are literally 4 services now when I do a postcode search. It’s either 80/20 with a phone line or 80/20 without a phone line and half that with the other two services with/without phone line.

Everyone’s moving to faster services so they lagging behind those places that can’t get better than 80/20. Guess it’s time to catch up.
