Ok so finally I have my Freenas box running after a few problems.
But I am running ZFS with Raidz1 with 4 x 2TB drives.
Now I just using this as a fileserver for Media such as HD movies, music, photo's and a bit of storage for apps and the like.
All systems in my house at the moment are Windows based and use Samba.
But my question is do i need to create a ZFS dataset, if so whats it for and are there any pros/cons to it.
