Zidane quits Real..... who's going to the Bernabéu??

Haha wow, what a way to do it. Three European Cups in a row and a league title, seriously incredible.

Having the most stacked squad in history helps mind but still.

One of the most stacked major leagues as well (not to mention until recently RM/ Barca sharing a huge amount of the tv money between them)

Still think he should have done a bit better in the other two league seasons considering the squad and the rest of the league - but no reason for being sacked if he hadn't walked

Perez was apparently pretty shocked when told and still was pretty passive at the press conference today. I don't think there were any plans to sack him at all. Completely out of the blue by all accounts.

I guess what more was there for him to win, 3 champions leagues and a league title. End of the day they'll sack you soon as you stop winning 2/3 trophies a season, they always do, might as well get out while the going is good on your own terms!

Poch to the Bernabeu then? With a nice fat compo package for Spurs as he only signed a new deal about 5 minutes ago!

I can't see Poch going to RM, he has no experience in managing massive egos, complete different ball game going from Spurs to the biggest club in the world. They need a really big manager/ex player.

Pretty sure he finished 1pt behind Barca one of the seasons so still at least 2 exceptional seasons and the this one where he only got a European Cup :D

Can't say I'm entirely surprised to be honest - a lot of that team, great as they obviously are, are not getting any younger!

Zidane steps away as one of the best managers in the world with his reputation still glowing from the Champions League wins and will walk into the job of his choice if and when he decides to return to the game!

In the meantime, who is going to be replacing him at Madrid do we think? A lot of the media seem to think Wenger (can't imagine why they would want him) or Pochettino - although with the latter hasn't he just signed a ridiculous new contract at Spurs - with Daniel Levy negotiating we could be looking at a world record compensation figure!! :D

Haha I wouldn’t mind seeing Wenger at Real, maybe for once in his career he would have a good chance of winning the CL. Something he couldn’t achieve at Arsenal but at least with Real he would have bags of money to spend.

Oh, no, please stop it. For all of us who desperately await the end of Real's domination, this is a good news. Why would send anyone there to continue the domination?
