Zippo lighters

I bought one about 10 years ago just to have one rather than light ciggies with it (I don't smoke). It's soul purpose in life now is to light the blow torches at work :D

I love the smell of Zippo fuel.
 
I got my younger bro one from when I went to New York.. he loves it!

They are a great iconic item... perfect design, perfect statement... feels good to use them! It's weird...
 
Guaranteed for Life as well. I sent one back years ago & it came back Mint with Fresh wadding the lot & a nice little letter as well :cool:
 
how do you light them with only one hand? i've seen it done but cant remember lol. like flicking it between your fingers?
 
You squeeze the lighter between your fingers to pop it open then you drop your hand down your side striking it against your leg. Once lit you snap it shut. Should all be done in one fluid motion for Ultra coolness :p

thats mostly normal,because of the way that the fuel is stored, and the seal-system with the lid, there will always be gas escaping, to some extent. this will be accellerated if it is kept in a leg-pocket or a hot climate :)

I have five of them now, a D-Day special edition, Diablo, AC/DC - For Those About To Rock, Led Zep and a Spider one.

Very reliable lighters and the warranty is excellent, I returned one a couple of months ago, got it back with brand new insides within a week.:)
 
I had a limited edition seahorses zippo many moons ago. It was silver with the bands logo on and was given to me by a friend who worked in the industry. He said at the time i should make sure i don't lose it, as it will be worth a few quid in years to come.

I left it in a bar somewhere along with my tabs, I was gutted for weeks afterwards. :(
 
I need to get myself one BADLY.

I lose lighters so much, at uni about 2/3 a week, i might aswell just buy a nice zippo because then i know i wouldnt lose it. Would be like having my phone/wallet on me..

Might buy one at crimbo!
 
They're quality lighters, shame they don't work so well upside down ;) (even if only one person gets what I mean, I'm happy)

I thought they used petrol as a fuel?

Do you lose coolness if you set your fire to your leg? :p

Slide the lighter up your leg fast, this opens the lid. Slide it down fast, this lights it. At this point you want to be holding it up lighting your cig/molotov.
