ZOMBI U COMING TO XBOX ONE (AND PROBABLY PS4)

Other than the fact I was referring to the last 6 months if you think those titles really constitute a good line up you are extremely easily pleased.

I appreciate its much harder for MS to get exclusives now but they really need to try harder.

Try harder by what measure? Here's a list of currently released games that are in some way exclusive to the Xbox One (some are console exclusives or only available on Microsoft platforms):

Boom Ball
Crimson Dragon
D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die
Dance Central: Spotlight
Dead Rising 3
Fantasia: Music Evolved
Fighter Within
Forza Horizon 2
Forza Horizon 2 presents The Fast And The Furious
Forza 5
Fruit Ninja Kinect 2
Funk of Titans
Goat Simulator
Halo: MCC
Halo: Spartan Assault
Happy Wars
IDARB
Kalimba!
Killer Instinct
Kinect Sports
Lifeless Planet
Lococycle
Magic: The Gathering: Duel of the Planeswalkers
Massive Chalice
Max: Curse of the Brotherhood
Mega Coin Squad
Naughty Kitties
Neverwinter
Nutjitsu
Oli and the Blind Forest
Pneuma: Breath of Life
Powerstar Golf
Project Spark
Ryse: Son of Rome
Screamride
Shape Up
Slice Zombies
State of Decay
Sunset Overdrive
Superhot
Super Time Force
Threes!
Titanfall
Volgarr The Viking
Xbox Fitness
Zombie Driver Ultimate Edition
Zoo Tycoon

In terms of quantity and variety, that's a huge list. I expect only Nintendo have more, but the Wii U is in a totally different situation to the One/PS4.

There's no shortage of games to play on the Xbox One. Personally, I'm not really swayed by exclusives though. They're an annoyance, not a boon. It's great that the industry is becoming slowly less focused on them, with the best games and the biggest releases increasingly being multiplatform. I wouldn't buy an Xbox for Halo. I wouldn't buy a PS4 for uncharted. The console I own has more to do with which one my friends have than anything else. Exclusives just define which games I'll be missing out on. Overall, thanks to the large number of great multiplatform games, both the Xbox One and the PS4 have more than enough to keep me entertained.

A few. I can't really be bothered to go back and check. I'm not sure why you're so focused on this year though. We haven't reached prime time for game releases yet. Something like three quarters of this year's big releases are due out between the end of August and beginning of December. It's like that every year and on most platforms.

That, I believe, is the point people have been trying to make. Many of us have bought maybe two or three new releases so far this year. The rest of our purchases have been titles that we missed from Q4 last year. It'll be the same next year too. I know I'm interested in:

MGS5
Forza 6
Halo 5
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Battlefront 3
Fallout 4
Rainbow 6: Siege
Just Cause 3

And probably others I've forgotten about. There's no way I'm getting through half of that list. I'll probably buy three of them this year, then spend the first half of next year catching up on the others (barring any that turn out to be bad).

I got an Xbone for Christmas with Halo and there has been absolutely nothing of interest since.

Where as my PS4 has had all the decent multi platforms plus Bloodbourne which to be fair is > than that whole list. The Xbone hasnt even had an Order 1886 level game.

Regardless, other than Tomb Raider, what exclusives are there for the rest of the year?

Rare Replay
Halo 5
Forza 6
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
World of Tanks
Fable Legends
Smite

Thats all I can think of right now.

What about PS4? What exclusives does that have this year? I'm pretty sure majority of Sony's E3 was 2016+

The order was pretty to look at but panned for its lack of game play and length so you and everyone sold it on and forgot about it. Not sure pretty but dull is what games should aspire to be...

TBH I have no idea about PS exclusives bar Uncharted trilogy but it's not relevant because my PS4 will have a constant stream of (better performing) multi platforms. I need a reason to buy something for the Xbone.

As for Order that was a fun diversion and sold on as it had no replayability - if that had been an Xbone game I would still have got it.

Ah, I buy multi platforms on PC since they look and perform better.

Console exclusives are how I decide which console I prefer and PS4 has yet to have any that interest me except Persona 5.

I have a PC too but to often the compromises aren't worth it - I see the next AC is coming out on the PC later again...

So what you're really saying is the Xbox One doesn't have any exclusive games that are to your taste?

I don't own a PS4, but if I did I could make the same argument in the opposite direction because the vast majority of exclusive games currently available simply aren't to my taste. That doesn't mean there arent any good games on the PS4. They simply aren't games that interest me. Had I bought a PS4 instead of an Xbox One, there's a very real chance that the only exclusives in my library by the year's end would be Little Big Planet 3, No Man's Sky (which, incidentally, I will probably buy on PC anyway) and a few indie titles.

It's all about personal preference. The Xbox One doesn't cater for everyone's taste, nor does the PS4 or the Wii U. Want a system with the flexibility to entertain pretty much everyone? Join the PC Master Race. It's pretty much the only way... :p

Probably. I've not played Screamride, but I expect that would be my pick it if I had to choose between those two. I used to love Rollercoaster Tycoon and Theme Park World, and Screamride is about as close to a next gen version of those as we're likely to see.

Look better yes but rarely perform better, well depends how you define that but if thats a visually appealing with a smooth experience without hassle on occasion then nope its not.

Ha, reckons X1 has no 2015 exclusives and then names the only 2 that are in PS4, both of which have already been totally forgotten about as they were crap (the order) and rather niche (bloodborne).

Maybe instead of trying to skew the picture, look at all exclusives since release and you'll find the the Xbox is in a far better position and it's only going to get worse for Sony with literally no games ready for 2015.

And for the record, as usual the rather strange Sony fans bringing off tangent discussion to the table.

As Witcher 3 performs better on X1, perhaps you should buy it on that.
