Zombie attack - what weapon would you use?

I'm not a big fan of Zombie films but I have enjoyed The Walking Dead series.
Ever since it started I have always wondered what weapon I would use faced in a similar situation and I always pick a Samurai sword like the coloured chick in the series.
I can't see any weapon being better than this because even if you've got 20 coming at you at 1mph you should still be able to bury it in all their skulls but armed with a gun you could easily run out of bullets.

Apologies for the Kwerk/Magnolia type post but would you talk me out of the sword and suggest something better?

The problem I see here is that if too many Zombies come you will easily get overpowered and wearing a plate armour suit you might not be able to ever get up again because more & more Zombies will pile on.

This is the other thing I don't get with arrows from bows & crossbows.
So a Zombie attack happens and you fire off your arrows but you have now got to go and start getting them back at the risk of a Zombie suddenly coming alive as you are taking the arrow out.
It just seems a lot of hard work, just kill and walk on.

At the moment
my choices in order:
1) Samurai sword (or similar)
2) Mace
3) Baseball bat

Far from it.
I watched a documentary and it was about a beheading in olden times where it went badly wrong and the executioner was frowned upon for it. I think he had 3 goes before the victim died.
The documentary went on to perform beheadings on dead animals just to show how hard it is even when the body is still.
This is also why the guillotine was invented because beheading by hand isn't to Hollywood standards.
I can also recount stories of beheadings I saw when I used to live in Nigeria.

I could draw them in with music coming from a barn and perhaps if I played Phil Collins, RHCP, Radiohead or Coldplay they might bite each others heads off.
