ZOMBIEGRINDER

Don't think it works in Opera, just get a load of white noise :(

Game is a bit tricky with just a touchpad too.

190059 on my first go, 13 mins 4 seconds, lost all my health on the first level in the fire then played about 10 mins with one hit left....

There is no way you can call that music..

"Music hath charms to sooth a savage beast", but in this case they're giving the beast an Aneurysm then letting it loose on a microphone

I lasted a tragic 3m 47sec and I can't stand another moment of it!

Please explain how...?

Music is an art, entertainment, or other human activity that involves organized and audible sounds and silence. It is expressed in terms of pitch, rhythm, harmony, and timbre. Music involves complex generative forms in time through the construction of patterns and combinations of natural stimuli, principally sound. As a human activity, music may be used for artistic or aesthetic, communicative, entertainment, or ceremonial purposes.

"It is expressed in terms of pitch, rhythm, harmony, and timbre"

Pitch.. yes, there was some pitch buried in there. I think the lead singer was gargling with it before reaching the mic. Rhythm.. okay, the drums were whacking out a rhythm, and the guitars along with it. Screamer wasn't. Harmony.. nope, don't think so. Power chords all the way, if that, so none there. Timbre.. well thats debateable, if you can call screaming 'timbre'.
Doesn't stack up well against a definition of music.

Glad to see you're approaching it with an open mind, eh?

To be a pedant, few if any heavy bands use power chords; You'll find that they're most often used by generic 'rock' bands.

Okay...

It is:

Organised
Audible
It has sounds
It has periods of silence
It has pitch
It has Rhythm
It has harmony ("any simultaneous combination of notes")
It has timbre
It "involves complex generative forms in time through the construction of patterns and combinations of natural stimuli, principally sound."

So...Basically your argument boils down to "I don't like it so it's not music"?

Christ...I can't stand the Beatles but they're still music.

fantastic game, might have a look into buying soem of the albums mentioned, some lovely song titles :p

Reasonable game but the music is garbage.

I like "heavy music" but that is just crap. Exactly the reason no doubt Gilly hates metal - come back, all is forgiven :p

Theres creativity but are those actually lyrics? If not they are sounds at best, none of which I couldn't better with a post-curry toilet session

You can only tell with some bands by asking them.

Even if there are no lyrics, does it matter?

It then becomes a sound which can be used by the vocalist as an instrument.

Very cool game. The music isn't quite to my taste, it's not bad though, certainly better than most of the tripe we seem to get these days - Rap, indie rock...etc
