I have noticed my amp has zone 2 feature which states

"The TX-SR706 also features Onkyo's Powered Zone 2 capability, which can be used to power stereo speakers in a second room while listening to 5.1-channel sound in the main zone thanks to a dedicated set of zone 2 L/R speaker terminals. There is also a Zone 2 pre-out that can be used in conjunction with a dedicated zone amplifier or receiver. For those with main stereo LR loudspeakers that support bi-amplification, the back surround channels can also be reconfigured for this operating mode."

I have a tv in the bedroom which is connected to the sky box via magic eye. However the speakers on the tv are totally pants. So am I correct in understanding I can use Zone 2 setup to stream the audio to, two additional speakers in the bedroom.

Secondly, can I get a remote extension So i can control the volume of the amp from the second bedroom?

You can set it up for zone 2 on my 876 remote i just press zone 2 under remote mode the select aux or cbl/sat etc depending on which one i want..

You may need to enter the menu to set up volume control.

And your gonna need a powermid or something similier for the remote extender
