Zone Alarm Pro problems...

Hi All

I just installed Zone Alarm pro for the first time about 3 weeks ago.
Since then I have updated 2 times. The first was no problem but the second time I did it ZA started causing Windows shut down problems. The End Task box would pop up every time on a shut down.
After this I tried uninstalling ZA pro and reinstalling it with the new update only, but the same problem kept on accruing.
Has anyone else had this or know the best way to solve this ? Or is this just a Zone Alarm pro quirk that I'll have to put up with...

Are you using the latest version? You can download it here:

I use the Internet Security Suite which includes Zonealarm. When I shut down windows I do see an End Task dialogue box appear relating to zlclient.ext but it goes away straight away and Windows shuts down without any problems.

It was the June 15th 06 version I was using that has was giving me the problems. I have since went back update released on the June the 5th.

The End Task box does only appears for about 5 seconds.
Its just one of those things that annoys me when the pay for an expensive bit of software you expect it to work properly with out any glitches.

Anybody else seen anything like this thats running ZA Pro firewall ???
