I'm not sure this deserves its own thread but what the actual **** is wrong with people.

Zouma always seemed like a happy and nice guy. I don't want to say that footballers are worse than everyone else but dear god some of them need a slap. Ive seen the videos and its not the usual blown out of proportion headlines, he literally boots the cat. What a scumbag.

Damn you Baaaaaz!

Why do they always seem to refer it to the RSPCA if the police can get involved?

Like it or not, this is a minor case compared to what people are capable of doing to animals. I thought the RSPCA usually dealt with this sort of thing.

I was wondering if it had been blown out of proportion and saw the first 5 seconds....what the hell. :(

These things quite often are but in this case hes just acting like a **** and deserves to be punished severely. I would love to see footballers contracts ripped up when this sort of thing happens. No idea on the legalities of it but footballers need to realise that they are held to the same standards and higher than average people. Thats part of why you are paid so much. You have to be a not horrible human.

Well i didnt know it was in front of his kids...jesus.

Social services and RSPCA. Well done Zouma.

Yeah, clearly a lovely character. Teaching his kids that this sort of thing is funny and OK. His apology is pathetic as well. If he was a United player I would never want to see him wear the shirt again.

West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to BT Sport about whether the video of Kurt Zouma on social media this week influenced his decision to play the defender: "No, because he is one of our better players. But it is certainly ongoing and the club are dealing with it, so that is a separate matter."

Real classy Moyes.

Its not a separate matter and the very least the club should be doing is dropping him for a number of games. Pathetic that he basically said "hes one of our better players so we don't care that hes an animal abusing piece of ****"

West Ham made a calculated decision. Had they suspended Zouma they'd have still had to go through a week or so of headlines and then in 2, 3 or 4 weeks time, when he returns to the side, they'd go through another week or so of headlines. They've decided to get it all out of the way in one hit rather than drag the situation out.

Oh we know why they have done it but it just shows how little clubs care about the behaviour of their players if they think they can ride it out.

Guess people like him don’t see what they have done as that bad, just normal behaviour but surely some self awareness?

Do you think that people who do this sort of thing and then post it on the internet think that what they are doing is wrong?

He clearly doesn't think there is anything wrong with it and the fact he gets his kid involved is almost the worst part.

His apology was basicaly "I'm sorry you were offended".

He will have laughed this off. No punishment and he didn't even miss a game. This is why they think they are above everyone else and can get away with it... because they can.

Kurt Zouma: West Ham boss David Moyes says defender available for Leicester City game
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60345306

Tone deaf decision if you ask me, hope it backfires.

Why wouldn't he be available. If they weren't going to ban him just after this happened they sure as hell aren't going to do it now. They simply don't care. This isn't really a surprise.

The only reason United have taken the steps they have with Greenwood is because his supposed crime is so horrible and is completely career ending if true.

lol, 9K, that'll teach him.

We really need to bring in salary related fines. Its quite literally taking the **** when they fine footballers and their like such a pathetic amount. How about a months wages for animal cruelty. At least that would be something to think about. Thats like fining the average person £10.

Maybe West Ham will actually take a more responsible look at this now. Both fines have been paltry.

I can't tell if you are serious. WH have punished him as much/little as they thought they could get away with. Football clubs have thin to no morals. Lets see what happens when Greenwood worms his way out of consequences for being an absolute scumbag. United will almost certainly welcome him back.
