About the Mice
ZOWIE eVo Series:

The EC eVo series offers two different sizes of ergonomic right-handed mice with unparalleled performance, stability and functionality. The EC eVo's are plug and play mice with 1,000 Hz from standard, which can be easily changed to 500 or 125 Hz directly on the mouse. The EC eVo has an incredibly low lift-off distance of only 1,5 mm, due to the custom-developed ZOWIE lens.

ZOWIE FK:

The FK is similar to the AM in terms of specifications and features, and they are both ambidextrous mice developed for gamers who prefer a claw-grip play style, but that is where the similarities end.

The FK is an ambidextrous mouse with a \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\/ grip, contrary to the AM that has a /\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ gripping style. The design of the FK has changed slightly compared to the AM, amongst other minor adjustments, the height is lower. The adjustments to the overall design have been made to make the FK lighter and faster. We hope that the design makes it more comfortable to use, not only for gamers who prefer the claw-grip, but also for gamers with smaller hands who prefer to palm-grip their mouse.

Furthermore the FK features a new coating, which feels smooth and fine like regular rubber paint, but has increased resistance towards wear and tear. The coating helps increase grip for gamers with tendency to sweaty palms and it is easy to clean!

ZOWIE AM:

The AM is a series of ambidextrous mice that is unmatched by other mice in flexibility, stability and performance. The AM features two buttons on both sides which allows the user to switch between left- and right-handed usage. I was just about to post a thread regarding EC1 eVo vs FK

Im moving from a G500 so any advice welcome

Also could you explain this to me.

The FK is an ambidextrous mouse with a \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\/ grip, contrary to the AM that has a /\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ gripping style

I dont understand the grips?

im assuming the \ / is where the thumb lies, so on the first one, its ambidextrous, so the thumb lies on its right hand side just as well as the left, where as on the other it wont?

no idea if thats correct, but it makes sense in my head lol

I am looking into this for you. try and find out what the author meant.

Looks to me like palm Vs claw grip but can't find anything to confirm.

It looks like the EC1 Evo is the nearly the same shape as a DA which I loved the feel of

it is a very similar shape and feel (Same material but it has it all the way round)

I would have said it's palm vs claw?

Then again, could also be the shape of the mouse with, \ / wider at the front and / \ wider at the back.

I have the AM, very happy with it and the first mouse that isn't made by MS that I have felt totally pleased with.

Regarding the shape of the FK, the \/ shape actually refers to the sides of the mouse.

The FK tapers inwards from the top to the bottom for a \_/ cross-section, making lifting it with your thumb and ring-finger much easier.

Mice with the opposite cross-section require a tighter grip to lift it off the mousing surface, potentially causing a little more instability.

The difference is subtle, but pronounced when being used IMO.
