Apple Pay uses existing contactless payments anyway doesn't it, so would be universally usable on the same platform.

In the USA, Samsung Pay has the advantage of allowing swipe payments. Not used in the UK much, if at all.

Is it possible that Samsung could emulate chip and pin transactions with Samsung Pay?

I think that's the whole idea behind Samsung Pay, to work with your existing credit and debit cards as chip and pin transactions.

Works anywhere you would normally swipe or hover pay with your Amex, Visa or Mastercard.

Greenbot says Android Pay might be better still though, as it won't be limited to just Samsung devices?

Ah, Android Pay uses NFC only, Samsung Pay uses magnetic coil, so emulates existing cards.

Yes but Samsung Pay doesn't currently emulate chip and pin, it only emulates magnetic swipes, that was my point.

In the UK, it will work anywhere Apple Pay works, which is anywhere with an NFC reader.

the only 2 things that bother me on S6 are battery life and protruding lens.

Seems like they only fixed one and I don't think it's worth £300 extra (got S6 for £260)

Lens still slightly protrudes. They should have just made it flush and thicker.

Isn't it like 0.8mm? If so, that's good enough for me. The s6 lens protruding didn't really bother me anyways. I really want the silver version but so does the Mrs. We can't have the same, that'd be lame.

I never do this.... but i might just pay retail for this... real all day battery and the usuall camera/screen/build from samsung... as long as touchwiz is ok like the builds from last year... I think I'll just drop the bomb.

Hmm... £600... maybe I'll be a bit patient... but then, the Gear VR is about £80 so might be ok value overall... the price of being an early adopter!

Usually do. I picked up my S6 32GB for £360 in July last year so happy to wait a few months.
Does strike me that Samsung could do a number on the rest of the market with this handset if they didn't price it so high at launch. The Nexus handsets are no longer squarely aimed at developers and they come out pretty well priced

going by this the battery isn't removeable.

The battery won’t be removable, but with such endurance most consumers shouldn’t rue the fact that the battery will be fixed and inaccessible. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge were great phones, and it would be great to see their successors fix the almost abysmal battery life that was offered by the original S6 duo.
