At the risk of butting in to someone else's thread - sorry BornEvil, hope you don't mind!
It should be fine. CPU temps cab reach up to about a max of 85C and are recorded by a sensor embedded in the die. The outside of the package will be far less as it's slightly insulated by the die and the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) and then cooled by the heatsink or, in this case, water block. By the time you get out the die, through the board it's mounted on (the square part of the CPU that spreads the contacts out over a wider area so it can make contact with the pins in the motherboard) and then the motherboard, plus the air gaps and the metal backing plate...well, it's going to be a lot lower.

Is it still to much? Well, the copper wire isn't going to melt at any temps were likely to see (I hope ). The insulation on the wire is usually rated to 105C and the sleeving (assuming Teleios) is made of PET which according to Wikipedia (which is obviously never wrong!) has a melting point of 260C. Even given the fact that it's in thin strands, it should be well within safe limits even if it were exposed to the full 85C.
