Tom, are you clicking on the link given near the end of the first page of this thread? It's gone now but you can still see it in one of the quotes. The one by OP doesn't work.

What I can confirm at this point is that the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Public Beta is definitely coming. I do not have a final date at the moment, but the groundwork is obviously being laid for the thing to roll out soon-ish.

We will have much more on the ETQW public beta in the near future, laying out our plans for the beta and how you can participate.

Thread on the official forum suggested this version was lacking some of the maps in the full game (the closed beta of which was weighed in at 1.7gb).

I don't think it'll go public until the end of this month / July atleast. As said - there's usually a lot of hype on Fileplanet Sub betas. You always get that reserve thing in advance.

Hope I'm wrong though, can't wait to play it.

Havent got a fileplanet login so even with the correct link (http://uk1x2.fileplanet.com/^0/ftp1/062007/ETQuakeWarsBetaSetup.exe)it comes up with not authorised, assuming it hasnt been pulled.
