[PIC_THREAD] Landscapes, Architecture, Seascapes

Thanks for the critique guys, I'll take it on-board.
Fwiw, it's a rolling mountainside (more of a big hillside) + sand reflection + sun reflection in the distance, hence the wonky look to it :)

Very cool. It was totally cloudy here so no chance :(

Cheers:)

Didn't have time to use a telescope so all shot using a Pentax K-3 II dslr with a rather old Pentax F* 300/4.5 ED [IF] lens. Tripod mounted with mirror lock-up, in manual mode, exposure bracketing and shots triggered by a remote control.

Spot on with the technical side.. That old 300mm will be very sharp i imagine I know all the Nikon and Canon variants are going back to the 1970s.

That's great DP :)

That last photo is stunning, touche!

Thanks. It is hard to believe how beautiful and vivide the colors were, my photo doesn't do it justice. I tuned down the saturation otherwise it looked overdone but the final image looked duller than I imagined the scene.

Not really shown is the above photo but the aspens were just starting to go that amazing yellow-gold color, but only a few trees here and there. I couldn't find a pleasing composition. You can see in. Y photo top of this post

The aen have a tint of yellow.

Even some of the more mundane plants like bracken had a much more vivide golden hue compared to when it turns back in Britian. It is pro leaky due to the weather, cold clear nights (close to freezing) and warm sunny days up to 30*C in the fall/autumn.
