Gpu Mount Test, with Waterblock

So today i wanted to see how the GPU would look with waterblock mounted in the white painted frame.
I installed the waterblock on the GPU (update will follow on that later), then filled it with the mayhems pastel blue, and mounted it onto the frame.
I love it! i am sure this is going to look just perfect once the reservoir/mobo tray arrives from parvum.
Can't wait to put this all together.

Engraved And Custom Parts

So today i recieved some custom cut and engraved parts from E22.biz
Absolutely amazing job done by Nate! Got the SSD covers, the engraved radiator side panels, the 240mm fan grill for decoration on the radiator, and the PSU covers.
Everything just looks so great, really stunning piece of work, and the details just took this build to a higher level.
Enjoy the goodies! Another update will follow shortly with the pieces installed and some extra Eye Candy.

Installing the engraved PSU Covers and more

So as you know, yesterday i recieved all the custom made and engraved parts from E22.biz
Everything looks amazing and is just spot on the design we agreed on.
So i decided to install the psu covers just for a small photo shoot, so you can see how it's going to look.
Also quick mounted the Radiator grill and fans to the rad, just so you can get an idea of what my thoughts are with it.
Other then that, i took 300 images and narrowed it down to 15 haha. Enjoy.

Hmm, didn't realise that E22 did that level of custom work. I've just sent an enquiry about my PSU shroud :) Currently I'm using a couple of custom vinyls, but this opens up options. THanks for that Deus.

Without wanting to go off topic, it's looking great in the frame and starting to get a good idea on the master plan!

Yeah, E22 does laser cutting and engraving also :) .. and the quality is so amazing! Im sure that shroud is going to look killer when its done :)

Thanks man, just hoping everything still fits once the reservoir part arrives :D
so i have to do minimal extra fitting :)

Love the work, the log and the attention to detail. Sweet build.

Personally I'm not too enamoured with the acrylic work, it's looking a wee bit too plasticy on the cable outlet and I'm not a fan of the visible machining lines on the engraved PSU and SSD covers. I think blue powder coated or anodised aluminium would've been more befitting work of this detail.

But that's just me :)

thank you very much :)

you might be right about that, will keep that in mind for the next project :)
but this time i really liked the acrylic candy like finish, because it matches the fluid color so perfect.

Sleeving the EK-DDC Pump

So today i had a little time on my hands, and decided to sleeve the pump.
Not much to it, 4 wires that had to be sleeved only, so didnt take too many photos while sleeving, but will do next time.
Decided to use some of the 4pin cable combs i had laying around, just to make it look more tidy in the end.
I think i might have to shorten them up later, but i don't know that untill the reservoir is here.
I went for the heatshrinkless method for the pump, just my favorite way to sleeve, looks much better in the end i think.

Looks good to me. Don't think I'll be individually sleeving each of the wires from the two DDCs in my build...but that's mainly due to laziness if I'm brutally honest. I am weighing up the possibility of doing the PCI-E cables and combing them though.

On an off-the-wall note. I was at Whipsnade Zoo yesterday and my son (he's 4) wanted to go to the butterfly house...to see the crocodiles *sigh* and suddenly the name of your project all dropped into place. I guess we can all be uneducated sometimes! :D

Exactly :) It's a beautiful butterfly :D ..

Haha, i know that laziness feeling all to well, but it's worth the effort:)
PCI-E cables and 24pin is a must, really makes it all look so much more smexy!
