I wonder what $800 will work out at when it makes it to the UK

I'd love one of these though!

£485 plus tax/vat and any addons, so approx £600

All we need to know now is whether 3d vision is supported or not.
Its my understanding that all gsync monitors have lightboost so I don't see why 3D wouldn't work.

Don't see why not as the BenQ's version supports 3D

Both the Philips and the BenQ work with - you guessed it - 1920 x 1080 resolution as well.
The Philips monitor is the only one in the group to have a color other than black,
rolling with a lovely bright red bit below its face - all in plastic.
You’ll find that the BenQ monitor is set for NVIDIA 3D abilities as well.

i have no problem with the price as i understand new technology costs more, it is just that asus have priced it out of the region i can justify paying for a monitor.

But, is it Asus's fault?

Asus set a price - import/other costs - retailers have the final say, unless I'm missing something?

As for the OC3D review, I don't usually like Tim's reviews but he makes some very good points and seems very happy with this monitor.

If it's as good as he makes out, the premium may be worthwhile

We really need an indepth review now which employs more scientific methods of measuring the performance. Hopefully it won't be long before TFT Central get their hands on one

I'm getting one, so I'll post my thoughts on it.

Nice one Neil and I am partly Jelly if I am honest. I can't justify the price to myself but that doesn't stop me wanting it.

The bigger problems comes with my computer, really not happy with these 290s, Gee has a couple of classys up for sale soon and a very reasonable price (good for 1400+) now, do i go back to a 780 and get this?
