That's fine, as I always say don't forget the 980ti advertised boost is 1075.

Is the OSD on OCguruII working for you?

We're not alone, seen many people asking about it, maybe it's W10 related.

P.S. After one hour of Soma @4k the card barely reached 69 degrees (24 in the room). Really need to be careful with reviews as this card is actually very quiet.

Finally caved in and splurged - now the happy owner of two MSI 6G Gaming cards in SLI. ROH please

Running them in an NZXT S340 with a Kraken x61 on the CPU (trusty i7 2700K still going strong). I've had to turn the fans round so it's pulling air in the top and rear, and exhausting through the CPU radiator out the front - the 'normal' way round was getting too hot inside the case and the PC would lock up. The top card is still sitting at 82º when gaming but it's not too loud.

I might stick a Kraken G10 on the top card (or possibly on both) when my credit card has recovered.

Stick another fan on that rad sucking air from between the two cards (I've done the opposite and have a fan blowing at the gap between the two cards which has made a big difference), or stick a fan on the side blowing across them, or try running with the side panel off

Get the Inno3D if you want an hybrid, there's nothing to justify the 110£ extra for the EVGA.

Also 3 years or 5 years, I bet you'll sell it before 2 anyway

Inno3D has offshore up to 28 days RMA if it fails after 28 days use. This means OCUK send it back to Hong Kong then it takes up to 5-6 weeks to return if faulty. Mine burnt out & failed after 53 days from new use.

Personally as someone on day 13 of the 28 day offshore RMA waiting game I would not touch any brand again which does not have a few days RMA & or is UK based RMA only.

Appear to be the best Nvidia brands for RMA right now. All the others have offshore RMA so after 28 days either you or OCUK need to return the card at your cost if OCUK are not handling the RMA on your behalf to somewhere in either east asia or central europe. It cost around £40-50 to do this properly with insurance (it cost me £37 in P&P to OCUK in UK as over £500 value the insurance is higher if you want proper cover that is & you have to ensure its well packaged so the RMA is accepted).

I understand even if I wouldn't make a choice just based on the worst case scenario (and I just had to RMA a KFA2 card).

EVGA aren't UK based, its Germany, so you are still looking at 1-2 weeks complete turnaround
Not sure PNY, KFA2 or Zotac have actual UK RMA either - there were some comments from a while back that PNY handle RMA out of france
Asus also do have UK RMA

the main problem doesn't seem to be where the AIB have RMA, but OCUK keep advertising "quick turnaround" on certain brands and then when people actually do an RMA they get told 28 days

Just gone onto eXtreme Power Supply Calculator website, And put all my pc spec in.
And i have done it as 2 X GTX 980TI SLI (no overclock) and its coming back as only psu wattage 728watt.if thats the case i might buy a 2nd hand GTX 980 TI for SLI to go with my PSU.
What FPS could i expect from SLI in games?

Personally wouldn't go SLI with "only" 850W, but I know some people do, 1Kw is safer.
For frame rates, about 70/95%, depending on how well each game scales.

its a evga supernova g2 850 watt. But i didnt think i would go SLI but seeing as my wattage would be less then 800watts from that website.i might consider another one .

Thought I would have another go at the 1440P 32" screen, really pushed my 980 Ti, temps jumped up as high as 70C peak during Witcher 3 @ 1440P / Ultra. Didn't make me feel sick this time either

Set the monitor at the back of my desk and tweaked the settings. (Banding issues aside) the screen is gorgeous, color, viewing angles are amazing and the sense of scale is crazy, even PS4 looks good despite not being native 1440P.

Think I'll stick with the 1440P for now, the extra screen size is really awesome. Hopefully won't make me sick now I've got it setup different.

The Inno3D has arrived, must say when I took the unit out of the box the fan shroud was freezing cold lol

Just done a quick heaven bench and it boosted to 1442. More testing to be done.

I'm happy though, thanks for the help chaps.

Are you guys getting any stutters in games? i am getting stuttering in gta 5 and in the crew game, wierd as it never happened with my 980s
