The fabric straps wash really well. Just chuck it in the washing machine once a week with your pants.

I work in a steelworks and get caked in either dust or sweat, not sure it would even last a week without it being grim. What strap would you have recommended it needs to be very secure obviously, I did consider the solo loop fabric one.

I also considered the Nike sport band but not sure how secure they are

I'd get silicone mate, in a dark colour, like navy or black. Hides a lot, and you can just wash it in the shower and dry it off with a towel. I only use silicone straps for gym / football / running.
