God, I could really fall out with Rugby League sometimes...a swinging arm to Dezaria's throat, utterly unnoticed by Kendall even with the TV replaying it a few times for the big screen.

***Edit***

And then Dezaria takes a yellow in the second half for something waaaaaaay less egregious! Just pathetic

I bet Mark Sneyd wishes he could re-take that drop out :)

Wigan got away with one there.

They definitely did.

Catalans v Cas is on now, listening to some very excitable French commentary over the Sky visuals via L'Equipe :p

***edit***

Spot of red mist there from us, not realising that six again had been called and we had tackles in hand close to the try line. D'oh!

***edit 2***

Pressure finally tells. 4-0.

***edit 3***

And again. L'Equipe commentator moved to call it a "masterclass" (yes, using the English word... presumably a loanword in French in the same way we got rendezvous). 10-0.

***edit 4***

Better from Cas. 10-6.

***edit 5***

Swiftly followed by normal service resuming! Jonners gets his first try of the season. 16-6.

***edit 6***

Starting the second half well. 22-6 :)

***edit 7***

Make that 28-6

***edit 8***

Cas not folding. 28-10.

***edit 9***

Honestly can't tell what the video ref was trying to give/rule out there...hey ho.

***edit 10***

Odd moment. The TV graphic came up as a Cas incorrect play of the ball, but either the graphics had the wrong tackle count or the ref did. Should have been a handover

No matter. It all resolves in a set of six that ends with les Dracs twisting and turning and crashing over the try line again. 34-10.

***edit 11***

TMO's getting some work tonight...and it's given. 40-10, 12 mins to go.

***edit 12***

The scoreline doesn't really reflect just how much work Castleford have put in tonight. Or maybe it does, in that they've limited Dragons to the current score. ~7 mins to go and they're still running it hard, chasing the game like their lives depend on doing so.

***edit 13***

They get a reward for some of that hard work, over at the corner for Simm. Milnes can't add the extras. 40-14.

And he's outta there!

Tony Smith: Hull FC head coach departs after 18 months in charge

el Beeb said:
Hull FC head coach Tony Smith has left the club after a poor start to the Super League season.

The vastly experienced Australian took over at the MKM Stadium in September 2022 after a spell at cross-city rivals Hull KR.

They won 10 of 27 games last season to finish 10th and have lost six of their seven league games so far this year.

Assistant Stanley Gene has also exited, with Simon Grix and Francis Cummins placed in charge on an interim basis.

Chairman Adam Pearson told the club website, external: "On behalf of everyone associated with Hull FC, I would like to thank Tony and Stan for their contribution to the club during their time with the first team.

"They have worked tirelessly and it is disappointing to have had to come to this decision, but it is one I feel is right at this time."
