The best indication of atmosphere for those who have not been would be to watch one of the interactive channels that doesn't have a commentator. Some of the events have just been action and crowd noise and it does sound excellent

I was at Wimbledon on Sunday, the atmosphere was immense on Center Court. You really do get swept along with the crowd.
