Just saw this on gamespot,

Ubisoft has told GameSpot that First Radical's sci-fi first-person shooter Haze is now being planned solely for Sony's PlayStation 3 platform.

Originally, Haze was slated as a multiplatform release for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 in spring, but back in May Ubisoft announced that the PS3 had become the "lead platform" for the title, which would be released in November on the PS3-only, although "no exclusivity for any platform has been officially announced."

Today, Ubisoft said that currently no other versions in development, and although it was still leaving the door open in the future for "new partnerships," currently the game is indeed only planned for the PS3. A spokesperson said, "The official statement on PC and Xbox 360 is that these platforms are not confirmed."

The Web sites of Free Radical, the Official Haze site, and Ubisoft site, all now only list the PS3 version of the game.

Im quite looking forward to this especially the Multiplayer part, its got a few good ideas involving nectar (not the points card). Surprised if it stays PS3 exclusive, but with Halo 3 out for the 360 not much point bringing it out anytime soon (was going to be spring 08 anyway), possibly thought to much competetion on the 360 and PC to warrant the expense of conversion.

It does look like a good game, I just have to practice a lot more to get used to controlling with a controller instead of mouse/keyboard.

Reading the statement it just looks like they will release a PS3 version first and then continue development of a PC/Xbox360 version.

Im not buying this at all, ubisoft must have either been paid by Sony to keep the 360 and PC versions quiet or paid for exclusivity. The PS3 userbase is just so much smaller than the other two now that it makes no sense to make it exclusive unless they've been given serious financial compensation. Not too bothered though, looked like a pretty poor halo clone to me.

i thought it was going to be a timed exclusive and eventually come on on PC/360. Did look like it might be quite good fun to play though so will be a shame if it doesnt come out on other platforms.

Although people brand the 360 as an fps console when its not, its fair to say that 360 owners cant really complain about a lack of quality fps titles, I'm sure some people were looking forward to Haze but it will no doubt be forgotten soon enough.

i dont see how sony "could" of bought it . surely ms would just offer more money ,

or even worse could just say "well you know those 10 games youve got in the making for our console... your not releasing them"

sound to me like it is coming out but just a bit later?

Bleh, another FPS lol, as if we haven't enough already. Wish I could check out screenies but I'm at work and gaming sites are blocked off.

maybe MS thought there was no point? 360 has so many good fps games out and coming out that i feel haze would disappear. Can you honestly see it outselling COD 4? or bioshock? or halo 3? maybe MS thought there lineup was good enough that they didn't think paying for haze was worth it.

There is of course the possibility that Ubisoft wanted a particular visual style (personally always thought it was easily noticable that a particular shot was from either a PS3 or a X360, neither right or wrong just distinguishable) or something significant in the game was easier to do on the PS3

Maybe you are right - but it could be for technical reasons alone that they chose to do this. If anything ubisoft have chosen the harder of the two systems for initial release (harder in the fact that undoubtedly they will have had much less time already spent designing/ programming on the ps3 - therefore it must be harder)

ms has been doing that a lot lately from paying movie studios to go to exclusive hddvd and various game studious as well perhaps they didn't want to fork out more for another fps when halo 3 will earn them a bucket load regardless of its quality.

ms are losing a lot* of money on the gaming side the shareholders may not like more being chucked into buying exclusives.

*ive read lots of different figures god knows how much in reality, 360 repairs and replacements alone must be a staggering sum.
