BMW Crash beside The Oaks Hotel, Alnwick

Well to be fair we don't actually know what happened. Was he on the limit? Or did a car he was inexperienced with bite him, and he have no knowledge on how to recover it?

Don't get me wrong, the guy is a prat for getting into that sort of mess in that sort of area but my point is that it doesn't make you subhuman and I would put money on some of the people in this thread having been 'there but for the grace of god' so to speak.

The last crash I saw involved a red car and a black BMW. No idea what the red car used to be, it was on its roof after presumably bouncing off the crash barriers a few times. The BMW "only" had its front destroyed, so could tell what it was from the back.

That was on a 40mph limit section of the A13.

One or both drivers in both cases obviously going WAAAY too fast.

The guy has been punished for his actions in the best way possible - he no longer has a nice, shiney M3, and nobody bar himself was injured.
Best way possible tbh. Shame the wall got wrecked but you can be pretty sure it taught the guy a lesson or two about his driving.

Glad no-one was knocked over, could have been messy :(

Btw - you sure he wasn't racing a Honda? VTEC, (yo!) power can often brush other road users away

Maybe, they look to have been going downhill!.

They wouldn't have been racing uphill because VTEC can't pull for **** y0!

that semi bald tyre could cause a few headaches with his insurer using it as an excuse not to pay him for wrecking his car (if he has fully comp insurance)

all i can say is, gutted fella. gotta be pretty daft to be racing on a road like that and pushing yourself to the limit because there could have been someone trying to cross the road etc. what a mess

What semi-bald tyre? I see a perfectly good tyre with a piece of bumper plastic between it and the camera.

But as this is the side that hit the wall could that be something to do with it?
