Ok, so I'm sitting in the same position, i go to lick it, just because so many have asked, i would have filmed it second time round, as i don't want to film my death if that were to occur so i stood up, licked at low and behold, nothing, i was quite disappointed by the lack of self-inflicted pain so i sat back down and thought i had run out of 'static'.
I touch it to check and i got a shock, so the 'static' hasn't run out, this time i stood up and touched it, nothing, so i assumed it was my chair, however this was a stupid idea from me as my chair has no battery's in it, and if there was a p.d. between the chair and monitor it would discharge in a few seconds.
So then i wondered if it was how i was sitting at the desk, so i look under my desk and there is all my PC wires and stuff, so i move them to the side to reveal the cable my foot rests on which is actually and extension bit for my TV aerial with the metal sheaf on the outside, which is accepted with TV wires!
I then do the scientific thing and check my new understandings, not follow the religion that many OcUK people have already followed and believe it to be static. I take my foot off touch it no shock, put my foot on it, oww, shock
So this leads me to believe it to be an R.F Shock, but how is it occurring between the screen and is it bad ?
Edit- as it is the wire doing it, i can't touch the wire and lick the screen at the same time, sorry for dissapointment, now its just a thread that has a question that needs answering
