Why do you listen to music?

I absolutely love listening to music. It's such a mood enhancer.

I can put on a track sometimes and literally just listen and sit about thinking about good times and smiling.
 
I listen to music because it makes me feel good.
I play music for the same reason.

I know what I like, I like to listen to music.
Theres probably some boring explanation behind it but you know what, I don't actually care, I enjoy it.
 
There are actual conditions where people find music to be very distasteful to the ear, even to the point of it making them ill. I can't remember what it's called, but there's another interesting condition called synaesthesia where the senses are linked to the extent that a sound can induce a nauseous smell to the point where they feel ill.

They say that people with mild synaesthesia can often be the most creative, but in it's extreme it can't be good!

A mate of mine listens to music, but he only listens to novelty tunes - like Southpark, or comedy songs. Travelling with him in a car is nightmare...
 
Music is just awesome. I've always listened to it in one form or another. It might have something to do the fact that the parents always listened to it when i was a kid. They don't so much anymore but i still do all the time whether at work, walking about or on the pc.

tbh, i don't know what i'd be like without my music. Kinda lost i suppose.
